The HFI AP American High School program organically integrates China’s high-quality high school teaching system with the American Advanced Placement (AP) curriculum. On one hand, it maintains Chinese students’ strengths in mathematics and science while ensuring the inheritance of Chinese culture. On the other hand, it better aligns with the elite higher education systems overseas in terms of professional knowledge, personal abilities, and humanistic cultivation, making it more conducive to cultivating “globally-oriented” talents domestically.
Through years of well-structured educational practice, HFI AP graduates have demonstrated exceptional performance not only in international exams such as AP, SAT, and TOEFL but also in university admissions. Over six graduating classes, 90% of students have been admitted to the top 50 comprehensive universities in the U.S., 50% to the top 30 U.S. comprehensive universities, liberal arts colleges, art and design institutes, as well as prestigious universities in Canada and Hong Kong, and 20% to the top 20 U.S. comprehensive universities. A number of outstanding graduates have been admitted to world-renowned institutions such as Princeton University, Yale University, Stanford University, the University of Pennsylvania (Wharton School), Columbia University, the University of Chicago, Duke University, Brown University, Dartmouth College, Johns Hopkins University, Northwestern University, Cornell University, UC Berkeley, the University of Oxford, the University of Cambridge, and the University of Melbourne.
HFI offers two high-quality international program tracks: the International Foundation Year (IFY) for British and Australian preparation and the AP American High School program, enabling students to access over 3,600 universities in more than 60 countries, including the UK, U.S., Australia, Canada, and Hong Kong—covering institutions such as Oxford, Cambridge, Yale, and Harvard—providing an excellent study-abroad platform for outstanding students in Southern China.
Meanwhile, HFI is also a registered member of the UK Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS). Through extensive collaboration and exchanges with overseas universities, embassies and consulates in China, the College Board (U.S.), the Northern Consortium UK (NCUK), and other international education institutions, HFI has gained substantial support and priority in curriculum introduction, teaching guidance, exam assessment, university admissions, and overseas services. The department has hosted hundreds of visits and lectures by overseas universities. Additionally, HFI provides comprehensive support and services to enrolled students, including one-stop assistance for overseas university applications, career planning, visa guidance, and family visit arrangements.
